I am an intelligent, well-informed, socially and environmentally concerned, politically active, progressive, free-thinking, ardent woman. Once again, I will vote for a candidate who doesn't thrill me; but still represents more by his history as a Viet Nam vet than by his current stands on issues, especially the war in Iraq, the fundamental standard of human decency. More than anytime since I started voting do I now feel that we have to get rid of the monster squatting in the White House and his cronies.
Now about me: I love to laugh. If you are cleverly funny, you will win my heart. I want to be like Hillary and Bill who can hardly get to sleep sometimes because they have so much to talk about. Bill said that to David Frost during the 1992 campaign. I am independent and will also give you your space. I am funny and very very bright. At times I can be caustic but will never hurt your feelings or put you down. If you need a shoulder to cry on; or someone to share your cares and woes, I will be there. If you want to wake up everyday feeling happy and appreciated and grateful to be alive, I will gladly share that with you. To me, life is a work of art and I am still adding color to it. Bring your paintbrush and let's create a masterpiece.

I am seeking a shelter from the storm, someone to share inside jokes with and a person comfortable with who they are. I don't NEED a relationship to complete myself and seek a man who feels the same. However, I would love to meet a real guy who cares about himself, as well as others in the world - someone who has a worldview and sees the importance in creating peace and doing our best as humans to make the world, if only our little corner of it, a better place by our living in it. Please, though, no whiners, hypochondriacs or smug academics--a carpenter would be nice. There is nothing more attractive than an intelligent, well-read blue collar guy. Whatever you do for a living, I hope you are happy doing it and consider it important work. It's essential that you treat the women in your life well; but, if you haven't quite cut the apron strings, don't send a response here. And I hope you act your age - if you are sneaking peaks of Britney Spears on the Internet, please write to someone else. I am considered by those who know me to be very attractive and those who meet me think I am much younger than I am and would like the same to be true for you. Unless, of course, you are one of those gorgeous older men like Jim McDermott, the congressmen from Washington state. If you don't know who that is, please see Fahrenheit 9/11.
