I am recently retired from the City of Chicago and anxious to get involved in presidential election. Just saw Fahrenheit 911 and feel guilty I have put off volunteering for so long. Do any groups meet closer than the north side of Chicago. I do drive but would rather not go so far.

Friendship. I have a lot of interests and like most people of a liberal democratic bent. I like to read (mysteries mainly), like music, movies, exercise daily with my dog and would like to meet people who enjoy similiar activities - or like to just socialize and have fun.
