Hi I'm Rob. It'd be my pleasure to talk to you. Afterall, I take it that people who come on this site are thoughtful, informed and passionate... that is, by definition liberal and progressive. I'm a high school language teacher, and I still very much enjoy what I do...even in what is now my tenth year of doing it. I love the outdoors...cycling, canoeing, hitting the beach. I like going out to a movie, or staying in for a romantic dinner, a video and...you know, maybe something more I'm spontaneous enough to take off to the beach with a bottle of wine just to watch the full moon come up, but staid enough to be that good and special friend who'll always listen at the end of the day when the world hasn't been too kind. I like to travel. I've been all over Greece (and still speak fairly decent if rudimentary Greek), South Korea and just recently Italy. My next big dream trip would entail a road trip across the American South West or an excursion to some exotic isle in the South Pacific. Besides being a teacher, I'm a published author (a fantasy myth titled Eon Dream), martial artist (batto-jutsu, a samurai sword art), swimmer, cyclist and dog fancier (my little long-hair dachshund named Snarf...see the picture in the photo gallery). A good start is someone who is interested in and maybe even more than a tad bit passionate about politics...I don't expect an activist, just someone with passsion about what she believes and thinks.
I respect smart women, and would definitely like to meet someone who is unabashedly intellectual. I'm in good shape, so I do look for a woman who is active and likes to take care of herself. Please, also, have some understanding of who you are and what you want in a man. I'd like to meet a woman who is at least a friend from the first time we meet. Other things can happen with a little time. Please have qualities such as honesty and loyalty in abundance. Be a good friend I can have fun with, and be willing to allow for the wonderful possibility of something beyond friendship. Also, please like dogs (mine is really super cute and funny), and be filled with a desire to take life for all it has to give...
