I was raised by FDR parents. My mom was active in the UFT. I learned that our government lies during the Vietnam War and learned about the military and police during the 1968 Chicago convention. I'm always torn between activism and apathy, so maybe meeting new folks will move me toward the former. I don't watch t.v. I like the Atlantic and the New Yorker and going to plays at the Barter Theatre, Abingdon.
