I never really was into politics until that election debacle in 2000 which allowed the current administration to take over. I never really got over the whole thing with the Supreme Court decision. I have found myself thinking alot about the upcoming election and how it has gotten to the point that (to life a line from Kurt Vonnegut) "we are on the brink of forever". What we do in November can affect history for many many years after we are gone.

Step five of the registration wanted me to say "what inspires me to be a lefty." I am a liberal because I am a strong advocate of personal rights and civil liberties. I believe in a fundamantal separation of church and state. I beleive that the constitution exists to provide ALL citizens with rights and ammendments should not be made to discriminate against certain groups of people. I am an advocate of stem cell research. I believe that we are not doing enough to protect the environment. I believe that NO MAN should ever have the power to tell a woman what she can and can not do with her body. I am a pacifist but will fight for things that I believe in. I find that civil disobedience is a good thing. I am also an optimist and believe that progress can always be made in all areas of the world. We can always do better. I believe very strongly that George Bush and his cronies need to be defeated. I am very passionate about the views i have listed above.

2. Music is my life. I am a guitar player in a band that gigs several times a month.
3. Favorite band?? Easy, Pearl Jam.
4. Hobbies? working out, going to concerts, drinking (mainly on the weekends), and walking my dog.

Dating is hard around here because most of the girls i meet are Republicans for some reason. We don't mix too well .

A laid back, cool girl that believes in the same things that I do. Whether for friends or for dating, once that common ground is there, the rest kind of falls into place.
