I am not sure when exactly I realized that I was a liberal. I come from a mostly Republican (but not conservatice) family in the Midwest. How I became such a liberal Democrat, I am not sure. I am someone who believes in equal opportunity for all people and a government which respects the intelligence of it's citizens.

I am looking for a guy who obviously shares at least some of my political beliefs, although I also love debating. Beyond that I want someone who is easy-going and independent and with a sense of humor.
