I'm a mid-20's college-educated blue-collar working stiff. Right now I drive a truck for a living which I dearly love. I'll probably end up back in school before too long, but the way the economy's been going lately, I'm not so sure about giving up a good job... I've a got a degree and a lot of graduate work in music. I play the bass (upright and electric) and also love doing music arranging. I'm living in Michigan now, where I grew up, but lived for three years in Queens, New York. So that gives me a little leftie street cred.

I love good music, good food, good drink, good friends. Basically I love this great world of ours and I want to experience all of it. I try to keep my mind broad, and I guess that's why my politics lean left. Plus I just can't stand Bush... Anyway, I've always thought of myself as moderately liberal, but there are some issues that I'm pretty passionate about (capital punishment, campaign finance, maybe others). I also love fighting with fundamentalists.

Okay, enough about me already.

Well, of course I'm looking for someone with fairly compatible political views. But beyond that there's no need to have a lot in common. I'm just looking for intellectual curiosity about the world around us, genuine care for the well-being of other people, and a healthy enjoyment of life.
