I am a left-leaning techno-nerd, who has spent most of his adult life married to his career, but over the last few years I have come to realize that I want something more out of life than my job can ever offer. I have a lot of interests outside of work and not all of them are computers. I love the study of history, geography, and science. I keep up on politics and current events. I enjoy watching football, but I also like theatre (I have season tickets to both). I am a huge movie fan. I enjoy some art-house and foreign films, but I don't shun "popcorn" movies. I am a huge fan of animation whether it is created in the US or in Japan. My two favorite TV channels are the History Channel and Cartoon Network. There is an editor for New Republic that also writes a weekly column for NFL.com named Gregg Easterbrook. If you ever read his political columns you will have pretty good idea of where I sit on the left. I am not as far too the left as Ted Rall, but I am not in the center either. Also if you read Mr. Easterbrook's "Tuesday Morning Quarterback" column on NFL.com, you will get an idea of my sense of humor. I tend to enjoy all types of humor from the slapstick of the Three Stooges, the ribald humor or Benny Hill, the wit of Monty Python, to the mindlessness of Beavis and Butthead, and the satire of Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law.
