I'm a frustrated progressive in Montana. I was bread and spread in Buffalo, New York and I miss my blue collar roots, the diversity, and the city. But I've adapted to Montana. I ski, hike, backpack, and mountain bike all the time now. That's the only way one can avoid going crazy here. It is beautiful here (I live 2 hours from Yellowstone), however it can be bittersweet if one is alone. I guess I'll have to live here for a few more years because I have no job prospects outside the state (I'm a college professor of European history, hey we are a dime a dozen, and my degree is not from Harvard), and because I'm not independently wealthy so I can retire early (actually, I probably could if we had free health care!!!).

I'm looking for a person with a good heart. Being a progressive is a good sign that you do have a good heart. You probably care about your fellow human beings and about all the creatures who walk, fly, and swim on this planet. I also would like to find someone who likes themselves, someone who knows what they want, and someone who has confidence in their values, beliefs, and philosophies. Please be confident to be who you are, and celebrate it! And, if you are sexy and attractive (thinking you are does it), well then that is a bonus!
