Recovering Republican. I believe in moderation, but sometimes have trouble achieving it. I am tolerant of most views, as long as people aren't trying to impose them on me. I grew up on the east coast but I love Minnesota and have been here for 20 years. I'm trying to lose weight by improving my diet (those damned Oreos are tough to resist) and getting more exercise. (Update 5/14: down almost 30 lbs in eleven weeks and feeling GREAT about it) I have wide-ranging interests. I don't think money is evil, or even that pursuing money is evil; it's how you acquire it and what you do with it that counts. Honest work, fair work, hard work should give you a good living. I think we need to take care of the environment, but not stop progress. There is a balance that can be reached. Geez, there is so much more, but I'm tired of typing...

I am seeking an open-minded, kind, intelligent, educated, thoughtful woman who can help keep me in balance. Someone who is comfortable going out or staying in, cooking or eating out, in an art museum or at a sporting event, a hole-in-the-wall diner or a fancy restaurant, knows when to be proper and when to let their hair down, when to be nice and when to be naughty (naughty can be good). Trying a variety of things, but still having a few favorite places, activities, interests. I hope I haven't eliminated everybody at this point...
