Here I am, an easygoing, optimistic and caring guy. I can be a "man's man", yet I can get teary-eyed watching a "chick flick". My inner being is truly that of a gentle man and is exhibited in my interactions as a gentleman in my relationships. Yes, I've never married but that means that I'm truly capable of doing laundry, cooking and other household chores. I'd happily share these duties with a caring partner and really don't need a mother (I already have a great mom). I'm most energized in the morning after a good night's sleep and every morning I get to watch the sunrise in my early morning delivery job. I'm usually done with work by mid-afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day and early evening relaxing with friends and family. Activities that I enjoy doing are: traveling (I previously worked in the travel industry for 15 years), bowling, choral singing and trying new things. I'm comfortable in formal situations but truly feel most myself in a casual atmosphere. So what about romance? Romance is what makes an intimate relationship and I fully enjoy this aspect, not at all feeling like romance is a burden. I realize that romance is more than just flowers and chocolates. Romance is caring about someone and showing it in whatever way is available or desired, a backrub after a long hard day of work, a night of pizza and movies while sitting on the couch at home, an unexpected note of love inside the cupboard door. I'm looking for a friend and lover! I truly believe that you can and should be both if you are destined to be lifelong partners. I know that I'm no Brad Pitt but I'm hoping that we both find each other mutually attractive in appearance and in personality. "Chemistry" is very important but I'm aware that the intial zing can be fleeting if there isn't more than just a physical attraction. For someone to be physically attractive to me, I find less to be better than more. I prefer a woman who wears little to no makeup and who doesn't obsess about clothes. Excessive jewelry, tattoos and piercings are not really something that is attractive to me. Being athletic and fit is a plus but not absolutely a requirement. As for personalities that are most attractive to me, I find energetic and optimistic people very attractive especially if they are somewhat introverted. If you've ever seen the movie, The Gun in Betty Lou's Handbag, you'll know what I mean when I say I'm seeking the librarian type with a tigress waiting to pounce! I prefer personalities that allow one to "go with the flow" but not necessarily that this means you are unorganized. A caring and generous spirit is a must too as I'm generous to a fault. Part of my philosophy on generosity has something to do with the fact that "you can't take it with you". My goal is to make a difference in this world and I hope that I can find a soulmate to accompany me in this exciting adventure called, LIFE!
