I'm back in St. Louis after 13 years away and saddened to find myself bereft of a community courtesy the archbishop of St. Louis and his obsessions with abortion and gay marriage. In addition to volunteering for the Kerry campaign, I protested in front of the Cathedral the weekend before election day.

The duck in my name tells you that I'm a little offbeat. I don't dye my hair purple or have a pierced nipple or anything like that–-for me, nonconformity never had to be loud. I'm odd in ways that will make you laugh and entertain you, not cause you to keep looking at your watch.

I juggle (I once had my own juggling show, the Science of Throwing Up and Falling Down) bake, write, create digital art and photography, and am working on a couple of children’s books on my computer.

I'm looking for someone to share the adventures of life with. I love travel, the arts, and doing new things, but they're all just a bit less potent and enjoyable when experienced alone. Intelligence and an outgoing personality are definite musts.
