I would call myself a secular humanist who is easy going, caring, intelligent, lover of sports and pets, and well read. I like Southern Literature. Wrote my thesis on Faulkner. I also enjoy Mark Twain, Robert Frost, the Greek Epics, and T.S. Eliot to name a few. I enjoy learning new things and keep an open mind about topics. Photography is a favorite creative out-let, but I still bang my fingers against the keyboard in the hopes of writing something fit to publish. What inspires me to be a lefty? Because it suits my temperate more than being a righty. My wordview is that we are all in this thing we call life together, no matter how different we might seem, and the thing to do is to help one another out as much as we can. I don't see that outlook on the right. Garrison K. said the Democratic party is the party of kindness. Though I know it has its sins, I like to think G.K. is right about that.

Of course, someone who would find what I wrote in the "Who I Am" segment as what she could agree with. I am not looking for my clone, but a shared outlook on the world I think is needed. For example, I don't think I would fit well with a religious fundamentalist, which is why I am at this website to begin with. I am looking for someone who doesn't take herself too seriously and can make jokes at my expense as well, because I certainly don't take myself too seriously. Someone intelligent, but not a know-it-all. Above all, someone who is kind and isn't afraid to love and be loved in return when she meets the right person, which I hope is me!
