I don't know that I would decribe myself as a "proud lefty"- that seems a bit pompous. Rather, I find myself kind of subscribing to Al Franken's approach, which seems to me more an attempt to come to grips with events from the standpoint of a seeker of truth as opposed to someone with an ideological axe to grind (aka "lying liars". That said, I wish I could say that I had voted for a Republican just once- I think that would make me more fair and balanced. I guess I do have some bleeding heart tendencies, but I try not to be knee jerk liberal about it. I agree with Jon Stewart about Tucker Carlson (He IS a dick). I think Condi's outrage that her integrity is being impugned is hilarious.

So that's the political synopsis. Personally, I'm semi-retired, live in Florida and NYC. I'm somewhat of a news junkie and watch more Chris Matthews than is probably healthy. I've got an independent record label with a new release due in the spring.

I don't have any hard and fast parameters beyond the superficial. Beyond attractive and thin, smart (very) and genuinely nice (tough to find after a certain point in life, I'm afraid), I think it's more a matter of chemistry than a checklist. Looking for a life partner/best friend.
