I like outdoor activities such as hiking, water skiing, photography, motorcycle riding, and traveling. I have had photographs published in magazines and newspapers. Indoor activities include reading, enjoying a glass of wine, movies, and writing. I used to write for a magazine. I love the Sunday newspaper. My TIVO Season Pass Manager lists The West Wing, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Alias, David Letterman, and The Daily Show. I’m an admitted news junkie.

The music I listen to is Norah Jones, Mozart, Eric Clapton, Enigma, Handel, Bonnie Raitt, Annie Lennox, Dido, the Rolling Stones, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. I have a wild-ass dream of one day conducting a full symphony orchestra and chorus.

I love to travel and have been to Alaska three times. I worked in management with a government land-management agency, so you would not be surprised to find out that I have strong feelings about environmental issues.

After a long career as a firefigter, I recently started a new job as an Executive Director of a professional association, and also own my own business training firefighters and consulting for land management agencies.
