A little overwheming to describe "me" in 50 words or less. The gist is, I am fairly recently separated-although definately separated-from a long term relationship in which we share a child. I love being a mom. I am gainfully employeed and have a stable life with a network of friends.
I am politically motivated and incorporate progressive beliefs in most aspects of my life ie. my work, my purchases, what I read and where I computer surf, who I spend time with and where I would like to be in the future.
I am somewhat of a movie fanatic. I like reading, art and local music. I like being outside including long walks on warm nights.
For me, a spiritual connection is important, one that includes a desire or quest for a deeper connection to humanity, myself and the earth.
That said, I am not particularly "out there". I respect all types of spiritual practices but mostly I am interested in meditation and being as authentic and honest as I can be with myself and with you. I also think working for change and being angry at injustice is important, I am not a believer in just visualize world peace and it will happen. It may, but we also must fight for it.

I suppose I am intereseted in someone who is done fighting their personal demons, except for the occasional flair up.
Someone who enjoys their work, either their career or their life's work.
Someone who understands the importance of not taking themselves so seriously but also realizes their importance in the world.
Someone who likes kids but isn't interested in birthing one (or another one) in the future.
Someone who leads a mostly fufilled and mostly content ( I realize contentment is hard with the amount of crap happening in the world) life but is interested in meeting a new friend or lover.
Someone who can socialize where alcohol and drugs are optional (or irrelevent) and not a requirement.
