While I don't profess to be able to tell you who I am in so short and simple a manner, at least it's a start in what I hope is the right direction. I work hard and worry about my life as I think many people around my age do, but I'm confident in myself and know I'll be alright one way or another. I'm just looking to find some other interesting people out there to laugh and grimace with. I can be somewhat rabid about politics sometimes but it's a frustration born in my upbringing and it's never personal.

I have somewhat diametrically opposing interests. A high mechanical aptitude has lead me to enjoy some of those more expensive hobbies like computers and cars. On the other side I have a voracious appetite for knowledge that has filled my bookshelves with multifarious volumes on many subjects, non-fiction, and fiction, and yes, also Harry Potter and Dan Brown books. So basically, I like my toys, and my books, and have lots of both.

I love going to the museums downtown even though I've been to some of them so many times I could probably lead a tour. I like staying active, whether it's beating on the heavy bag hanging on the deck (great for beating out frustration after watching the news or reading the paper), or going down to Burke Lake to toss the Frisbee or play volleyball (good at Frisbee, not so good at volleyball). I love Camping and hiking though I admit that I don’t get to do it near as often as I’d like.

I'm not much for the bar scene, not that I don't love to get a plate of wings and a cold beer, but I don't care for the smoke so much and so it's more of something I plan to do with friends as opposed to do when there are no plans.

I'm always wanting to learn new things and I'm looking for someone who feels the same. I don't want you to agree with everything I think but I'd hope that you would be able to tell me why you don't. The typical Washington D.C. workday and commute doesn’t leave me with a whole lot of extra time so I try and make the best of it. Maybe someone out there can help me to do just that.

Someone who likes staying physically and mentally active, love bookstores and the outdoors. Enjoy good food, which for me is sushi, Italian, Mexican, Indian, Greek, Thai… ok, so pretty much anything. Have the insanity to be able to someday jump out of a perfectly good airplane just for fun, but the common sense to know that it’s not just the highs, but also the lows, that make up the joys of life.
