I’m your average 6’5 sentimental fool. I write (poetry, etc) and read as much as possible. I love music from Paganini to Godsmack to Eminem. For movies, I’m just as versatile, watching Casablanca or Crouching Tiger or a Pink Panther flick. I believe in random acts of kindness and chivalry (giving flowers for no reason). I see humor in everyday life, sometimes when no one else can, and enjoy the small things and moments that make life worth living. While not religious, I do believe in a spiritual quality to life (“Do unto others” with a touch of Asian philosophy). Politically, I’m mostly liberal with a dash of conservative. I find myself with what “City Slickers” fans will recognize as a “Do Over”, but was blessed with two wonderful children in my previous go around. Unfortunately, they’re only with me part-time (physically, but not in my heart). I am anxious for my return to college this fall. School and a subsequent career will allow me to fulfill many dreams (again, in some cases). First, the promise of stability and happiness for my kids. They are my top priority. Second, I plan to travel. I’d love to find a companion for future excursions. I love playing in the rain. My favorite food is pepperoni pizza, with chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream a close second. I find myself sleeping less. I’m tired of wasting time and sleeps robs me of it. I’d rather be reading/writing, or spending time with friends at 2 am, not to mention feeding that cookie dough ice cream craving. I love to play/watch sports, trying to workout regularly. I love going to the park to play basketball, or tennis. I enjoy camping and biking on the weekends. I don’t like to sit still, thus I rarely watch TV. I love to play pool, for relaxation and to meet new people. I consider myself a knight in slightly tarnished armor, dented and rusted from past relationships, but having learned a lot. Maybe this time I can get it right with the right person. Everything in the past was just training for this moment.

I value intelligence, honesty, and loyalty. Quirky habits and exotic, eccentric behavior are interesting. I'm looking for someone who is everchanging and evolving, growing with each day. A broad range of interests would be nice, not only in music and movies, but other areas of life as well. As a single father, my ideal partner would have to love children. I'm looking for some who likes to be physically active and versatile enough to go from sweats to jeans to a dress with ease. I think a discreet tattoo and a pierced nose can be the ultimate in exotic/erotic on the right woman. Everyone has things about them that make them attractive. I guess I tend to see the good in everyone.

I guess if you got down to ideals, she would be 5'9, 130 lbs, with long dark hair. She would have a tattoo or maybe two, with a small diamond stud in her nose. She would have a dark sense of humor, but laugh at pretty much anything. She would like rock/alternative music, believe in unicorns or fairies, and read Harry Potter for fun (along with historical biographies). She would know how to bellydance. She would be a political liberal and like to go camping. She would love children and be able to laugh at herself and the most trying of times. She would love to play sports and watch them, too. She would want to travel, but realize that maybe some trips would have to wait for the kids to get older. She would love to learn and grow. She would have to trust in love and its ability to overcome any obstacle. She would know that compromise, communication, acceptance and forgiveness were necessary parts of any relationship.
