I'm a psychiatrist, raised in Chicago, living in Indianapolis. I'm 50 years old, though I have a hard time believing it.
I enjoy nature, good food, interesting conversation, wit, and humor. I like to read, and do almost anything outdoors: hike, walk, bike, sail, garden.
I love my work, and am extremely grateful for that, as I know it's uncommon. My work is half clinical (seeing patients) and half forensic. I have my own private practice.
I love my kids. I enjoy spending time with them, but also enjoy my time without them.
I went to University of Illinois, for my undergraduate degree in film. I still love movies, unless they're predictable. I enjoy a wide range of music: rock, rap, alternative, classical, R & B. I don't like country or oldies in more than small doses. I probably go to 8 concerts a year. I'm not a theater buff.
I've been politically liberal all of my life. I'm patriotic, but not in a "God bless America" sort of way. I believe in freedom and liberty for all. I respect others' choices for themselves, and find the idea of imposing one's beliefs onto others repulsive and small minded. I believe it is imperative to the strength of our nation that we offer opportunity to all. Other than supporting the basic rights our constitution provides for, the political issues of greatest importance to me are probably education and the environment. The economy is important as well.
I've been divorced for 9 years. I haven't been looking for a partner. Recently however, I've wished for more romance in my life. This is the first time I've done anything on the internet related to meeting someone.
