Haven't been on this site for a while. Got curious again.

I am hopeful now. I think Barak Obama is going to be the next president. I see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I struggle a bit to keep hanging in there because these Bush years really have been tough ones for me.
I sincerely hope thea W and all will suffer appropriate consequences for their deeds. I do believe in Karma.

My dog was hit by a car last October and he is now a tripod. Buddy is amazing. The second day he was climbing down the stairs and the third, he was climbing back up.
I take him to the dog park on Riverside on Sunday mornings and he loves to run and run and run. I couldn't help but cry the first few times he did. And I fall over laughing every time my poor boy needs to scratch. His little stump just gets going and you have to laugh. He lost a back leg and I am trying to teach him to bring me the brush so I can help him out. Meanwhile I am teaching him to catch a ball - finally and he caught it 3 times last night.

I work, I have a 19 year old living with me - both of my sons are politically aware & so are their friends. I love to hear what they have to say. My older son is volunteering for Obama.

I have fun cooking and like having a friend to cook with. And then eat, of course.

I really am pretty boring but it would be nice to meet someone and socialize a bit.

Looking for a man who can deal with an independent female who just wants a companion.

If you are reading this, we've already figured out that you are open minded and able to think for yourself and I want someone who can respect that in me.

What do you love about Austin?

Today John Kelso had a piece about one of my best friends - Washburn Town and Country Cleaners. SoCo is pushing them out. Last fall Kelso wrote about my other best friend who owns Tenderfoot Leather. She was by the Horseshoe Lounge. Both have been priced out by folks who are increasing their rents by 5 times. A lot of what I love about Austin is fading away.

I've been here for over 30 years and some things will never change - Barton Springs, Marshall Ford, The Oasis, Lake Austin, Dirty Martin's, Jorge's Mexican food, Wimberey, The Backyard, the Trail of Lights - oh I could go on and on...
Do you have a good sense of humor? I love a good laugh.

What makes you happy?

I love the Hill Country and don't seem to get enough of it. And, the Frio River is tops on my list.
