Who I am |
I am a bright, professional lady who is open to meeting a compatible guy. Attributes we would share in common include liberal politics, outdoor activities (i.e. hikes, travel, xcountry skiing, cycling, etc.) affectionate, intelligent conversations, golf as a work in progress, a zeal for life (physically, emotionally, intellectually), an active life both culturally and as a participant in fun activities, an active circle of intelligent and liberal minded friends, and an openness to new adventures. We are both fit, attractive, independent, successful and love a great sense of humor. I enjoy travel, gardening and working on projects like restoring my historic home in NE Portland. I have been in education for over 30 years and I am very discouraged with the federal laws around "No Child Left Behind"! Although I am semi-retired, I continue to work half time as a School Improvement Facilitator and volunteer some time working with disadvantaged youth.... making attempts to support a high poverty district from within...despite the current emphasis on high stakes testing....which is leaving even more children behind. I also teach grad classes at the local university.

Whom I am seeking |
I'm looking for a guy that believes in social justice, is interested in preserving our environment, walks his talk and stays current on political issues through resources other than the mainstream media. His family and friends are very important to him. He should be warm, self-assured, affectionate, kind, active and independent. Intelligence, mindfulness and a sense of humor are critical as well as a desire to build a friendship first and then deep intimacy. Although we all have baggage, it is important he has worked (or is working on) resolving his past relationships and also continues to be a life-long learner. I have been divorced for some time and have a life of my own so do not need a partner by my side at all times. I like affectionate, monogamous men who can be flexible, dependable, occasionally spontaneous, and are comfortable being themselves, casual or formal. If this resonates with anyone, then lets talk.
