How would people characterize me? Sincere, funny, friendly, curious, passionate about my job, quiet aroud strangers but talkative around my friends, conservative in dress, moderate to liberal in politics, and an intellectual.
I am a university professor and I love my job! I haven't had much time for dating because I've been so focused on my education and then my first few years of my career. I just moved to Alabama (June 2006) and I'm now seeking to round out my life by meeting some people out there who might be a good friend/romantic match.
As for my vision of the world, I just want to make it a better place (corny, I know!). My primary method of making the world better is by educating university students. I try to help them develop their critical thinking skills, be skeptical of the "facts" they are told, and rely on scientific evidence over authority or personal opinion.
I enjoying reading (Clive Cussler, James Rollins, Tom Clancy, plus academically-related books), watching TV (favorite sports are football - pro and college - and PGA golf; I love the Daily Show too!), and singing in the local community choir. I don't do too much in the way of exercise, but when I do get out I like to play disc golf, go for walks or hikes, and downhill ski. I also love Broadway shows - Wicked is the best!
