My favorite words are brilliant, kind, and bereft. They evoke emotion in me. I’m a voracious reader. I’m currently reading Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. I have a passion for learning and teaching. Not in a pretentious “I’m so smart, listen to me” way but in an “I want to light the world ablaze with knowledge” way.
I like spending time alone just thinking about things. I love playing poker and euchre, bicycle racing, Kona coffee, questioning things, writing software, gentle kisses, movies, nighttime, daydreaming, the weight of a woman’s head on my chest, long walks, dogs, live jazz music, NPR, giving gifts, thunderstorms, the smell of rain, holding hands, laughing uncontrollably, sleeping in, writing letters to old friends, long showers, politics, bookstores, fall, random conversations with strangers, long road trips, discovering new indie music, crossword puzzles, J.Crew and the color yellow.
I love all kinds of music: Alternative, Emo, Punk, Classic Rock, Some Rap, Some Country, Classical, Opera and Jazz. Specifically: Death Cab for Cute / The Postal Service, The Shins, The Strokes, Bright Eyes, We Are The Fury, Coldplay, Frank Sinatra, Cake, Yo Yo Ma, The Beatles, The Art of Fact, Dave Matthews, Jeff Buckley, Jack Johnson, Janis Joplin, N.E.R.D, Led Zepplin, David Grey, Radiohead, Eminem, and Dashboard.
