Liberal to the core, I believe that every person has the right to explore their potential and that, if given the chance, most people are good. I am passionate about human and animal rights and have recently become a vegetarian.

I like to keep up with current events and feel frustrated that I seldom find anyone interested in discussing them. I don't mind having heated conversations with those who think differently and don't understand why people call it "arguing". Every day I think about what the Iraqi people are going through and feel guilty that my country has done this to them.

I am a very passionate and vivacious woman. Everything that I do gets my whole heart (including the man in my life). I fill my life with love, fun, laughs, good deeds, hard work, travel, friends and active pursuits. I enjoy travelling and believe that it widens your personal horizons. I love animals and the work I do in rescue and adoption is important to me. I celebrated my 50th birthday by going to New Orleans to work with an animal rescue group. I like travel to new places and try things I've never done before. I enjoy staying home, cooking dinner, renting a movie, sitting on the porch, kissing and all that it leads to . I am an avid cyclist, road and trail, though still a relative beginner -- the hills still slow me down, but I work on them every chance I get.

The man for me will have strong values (no, not family values haha) by which I mean he is committed to doing what he believes to be the right thing even when it is personally difficult. I would love to find someone who is willing to do the hard work to maintain a relationship when necessary, growing personally while meeting on common ground. That sounds so dreary coming from a person who spends more than half of her life laughing! So... also someone who can have fun, laugh at themselves and jokes -- both light and dark -- who takes reasonably good care of themselves, likes animals and being outdoors and has left the party animal behind (though not the wild streak). Fifty-one is just a number, not my "age" which ranges from 12 to 39, depending on my mood.
