Progressive Dem involved in organizing and participating in the struggles of the 60's & 70's. As a government employee, I was a shop steward/activist in union local 660 (SEIU). Prior to & during '08 elections, I contributed financially and through hard work for a successful Dem outcome. Perhaps, I was too naive to expect Dems to be ethical, true to their campaign speeches and not be Republican light. (perhaps, I'll become an Independent). I stay aware of current social/political issues facing us today by, listening to 1090AM, reading books, online blogs, also, enjoy political satire. This Sun, I will be attending Seattle's Town Hall event with Ed Schultz, and Amy Goodman in Everett next Sat.
I am a fairly decent singer and will perform w/Everett Chorale. Singing classical music with an orchestra gives me a natural high. I would love to find other progressive singers to perform songs of peace and struggle.
I am Jewish by culture/ethnicity and practice a form of eastern meditation.
I grew up on the NW side of Chicago and spent my adult years in LA. A few yrs ago I retired & moved to the Pacific NW which has been a challenging transition. I live on a small private road surrounded by the forest. Now, I can't wait to explore this beautiful state, hike into the Ho Rain forest. Other life's pleasure include eating at a little ethnic cafes watching quality films, exploring museums, attending live theatrical performances/concerts. Sharing these experiences with that "special someone" would add to the enjoyment. I am open to new experiences, cooking, gardening and whatever hobbies, interests he wants to share. I'd love to laugh & cuddling w/him. If the chemistry is right, adding passion to the mix would be thoroughly enjoyable.
