I am a pragmatic idealist. I believe that people are fundamentally good, but that they are not fundamentally perfect. There are plenty of opportunities for them to lie to themselves, or embrace the lies they are told (*&%# cough, Karl Rove!), and so they become much less noble than they are capable of truly being. Speaking of less than perfect, I'm inclined to think that excessively twangy country music is the root of all evil Actually, I love pretty much every kind of music (I play piano, cello, guitar, bass, and drums), and I also thrive on art, movies, politics, and intelligent conversation. I am passionate about life and making the world a better place.

I guess I'm looking for my soul mate. Is that too much to ask? Brilliant, creative, twisted sense of humor, perceptive, passionate, caring, just plain NICE, self-confident enough to challenge me -- and enjoy me challenging her in return, optimistic, athletic (or at least active). Cute is nice; drop-dead gorgeous is also acceptable But seriously, must be smart. And fun. And preferably as mischievous as I am... >
