I may be the nicest bad girl you’ve ever met, or would that be baddest nice girl? Luckily, I’m one who’s getting better with age. I’m very loyal when I’m with someone but I also value my independence. I enjoy music (mostly progressive rock and metal, but I’ll listen to anything that can hold my attention), movies (including independent film), books (social commentary, Harry Potter series, Tolkien, whatever else sounds interesting), and travel (when time and cashflow permit) but I’m also open to trying new things. I like to think I’m an intelligent person who’s very logical with strong common sense. I’m a good listener so I try my best to help those I care about. I also like to try to make people laugh when opportunity presents itself.

I’m basically an easy-going person and don’t want to have someone on a short leash in a relationship. The trick is finding someone who appreciates that and is trustworthy of such an approach, because I know when my kindness is being taken advantage of. I want to be a lover and a partner, not somebody’s mother. I’d like to find someone who is able to bring out the best in me, who can make me think and laugh (perhaps even both at the same time.) Communication skills are important, as is a willingness to discuss feelings because I may not do it first. I’d like to meet someone who, like me, is a bit cynical but not excessively negative. Honesty is also a must. I’d like to meet someone who’s free of emotional baggage – if you have any emotional, legal, or financial loose ends with an ex DO NOT contact me. Since I am left-leaning politically, I’d like the same in a partner. uniqueness is a plus – I am attracted to people who are creative or eccentric, but grounded and stable (especially metal or goth guys.) Unfortunately I’m not much of a self-starter when it comes to creativity, so I wouldn’t mind meeting someone who could help me in that department.
