I am the mother of three, teacher of many, mentor to some and pretty much appalled by the state of the union. I ease my stress by being outdoors--hiking, biking, camping--and other activities, such as yoga, cooking and contemplating learning to weave. I like to read, peruse art galleries, especially student galleries, not just because of prices, but to see what is on the horizon. Not a huge socializer, I'd rather laugh than yabber, and focus on relationships--from the guys at the gas station to my friends and family. The past two summers, I have taught English in Central America, and while it looks like I will have to pass this year, I really like it down there--the work and the people-- and may find myself there semi-permanently in the next few years.

I'm looking for a funny, confident guy who puts the toilet seat down not to cover his errant aim, but because I will fall into the toilet if I sit without looking. Someone who is financially responsible, generous of spirit and not full of himself. Someone who is estranged from no one, adventuresome, and who likes outdoor pursuits. Someone whose children are pretty much grown, and sees the next few decades not as the back nine, or a re-do, but full of human potential.
